Akimirka

This photo series similarly to "Illuminations" is about exploring small observations in the everyday life and documenting them. I try to experiment with what you can do with a medium that documents reality and what happens, when the context around the image is lost.

The title of the work means blink of an eye or moment translated from Lithuanian. I decided on this title because i liked the sound of the word in Lithuanian and it fit the theme of this project. I also wanted to give it a name that didn’t tell you immediately what the work is about (unless you understand the language) so that there is a moment for you to see the photos without knowing the context about what they are.

These photos were exhibited in Alna Bydelshus until November 29. 2024.
